Dennis SchraederExcellent Grand Captain of Host
Dennis A. Schraeder, Sr. born September 29, 1949 in Evansville, Indiana, to the parents of William G. Schraeder, Jr. and Dorothy M. Schraeder. Has one son Dennis A. Schraeder, Jr. and three Granddaughters Grace, Hope and Faith Schraeder. A member of St. Lucas United Church of Christ.
Attended Baker elementary school, then Central High School for two years, and then transferring to North High School for the remaining two years graduating in 1967.
After graduating from high school enlisted in the United States Air Force in July of 1968 serving seven and a half years. After basic training was station in Florida, Germany, and Louisiana. Honorably discharged on January 31, 1976.
After being discharged from the military coming back to Evansville, Indiana and then enrolling at Indiana Vocational Technical College. Receiving an Associate Degree in Applied Sciences in the Electronics Technology on November 17, 1978, later going back and receiving an Associate Degree in Applied Sciences in the Industrial Maintenance Technology on May 10, 1985.
Also after being discharged from the military started working at Flanders Electric Motor Service, Inc. in 1976 through 1994 as the foreman of the custom motor controls and field service department for motor controls and switchgear. After leaving Flanders in 1994 he joined Whirlpool Corporation as a maintenance electrician and later promoted to a master technician in the plastics department. Retiring from Whirlpool on June 25, 2010.
Petitioning Lessing Lodge #464 an received his Blue Lodge degrees at a “Grand Master One Day Class” on October 26, 2002 serving as Master of Lessing Lodge #464 in 2006 and again in 2011. A dual member of Ft. Branch Lodge #696 serving as Master in 2013. A dual member of Vincennes Lodge #1 serving as Master in 2017. A plural member of Bartimaeus Lodge U.D. since October 4, 2013. A member of the Evansville Past Master Club since December 17, 2005.
Petitioning and receiving his Scottish Rite Degrees on October 26, 2002 in the AASR NMJ Valley of Evansville. Received the Double Eagle Award on January 17, 2004 and join the Trinity Chapter of the Rose Croix officer’s line. Serving as Most Wise Master from May 2009 to May 2011. Crowned a 33 Degree in Cleveland Ohio on August 28, 2012.
Become a Noble of the Shrine at Hadi Temple on October 26, 2002 and enjoys working with the Hospital Staff, transporting our children to the Shrine’s Hospitals.
Petitioning and receiving his degrees and orders in the Evansville York Rite Bodies on March 27, 2004 serving as Illustrious Master of Simpson Council #23 in 2008 and serving as High Priest in Evansville Chapter #12 in 2013 and serving as Commander in LaValette Commandery #15 in 2015. Appointed to serve as Royal Arch Deputy in the Grand Chapter RAM in District I in 2014 and then appointed to the Grand Master of the 1st Veil in 2016. Appointed to serve as Deputy Battalion Commander in the Grand Commandery Battalion 8 in 2015.
Receiving his Knights of the York Cross of Honour by being inducted into Robert A. Woods Priory #62 on January 28, 2017.
